It recognises companies that demonstrate excellence in areas such as innovation, financial performance, social responsibility, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.
Since its foundation in 1907, Schréder has built a global reputation as the leading smart outdoor lighting solution provider, with over 2,600 employees in 70 countries. The fourth generation family-owned business has consistently invested in sustainable technologies, processes and materials to minimise its environmental impact and that of its customers. This commitment to innovation and sustainability has been key to its growth, making it a true leader in the outdoor lighting industry.
The independent panel of judges praised “a dynamic company, more than a century old, that has successfully navigated a major technological revolution while reinventing itself to develop ambitious, sustainable new growth drivers, while remaining firmly rooted in its home region.”
“It is a crowning achievement for the company, highlighting our unwavering commitment to excellence, innovation and sustainability and recognising the hard work and dedication of our employees,” said Philippe Felten, CEO. “The company has come a long way from the street lamps of its early days. Our connected lighting solutions have become information networks that cities can use for many other smart city applications, such as traffic or pollution management.”
Schréder’s victory would not have been possible without the passion, know-how, and sheer hard work of our exceptional teams worldwide.
Our commitment to delivering sustainable and smart lighting solutions that enhance safety and well-being in our communities and make a positive impact remains as strong as ever.
